Sharing a folder - how can this be so hard!
I want to share a folder with people. Not obvious how. The app only seems to offer 'copy link', 'email link', 'View on Box.com' and 'unsync'.
Perhaps it's not possible through the app? (Doesn't tell me that anywhere)
When I try to go online get stuck in some loop, that won't let me see my files, but tries to make me download "box drive" which is presumably the app I already have. Thats the last thing I want to do - as I have years of data on box I don't want to lose.
Please help - How can it be this hard!

Hi there,
Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!
Can you open a browser (ex. Chrome or Firefox) and go to Box.com then login to your account with your Box credentials? When you are logged in, locate the folder you wish to share and click the "Share" button at the end of the folder.
There are a couple of ways on how to "share" a folder to others thru Box:
- Invite collaborators (which requires others to have a Box or create one); and
- Create a "Shared link" (shared links only give others read-only access to the content)
To further understand the difference between these options, please check out this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044196073-Collaboration-Frequently-Asked-Questions
Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any questions or run in any issue.

France, thank you so much for coming to my rescue.
So I think you are saying it is not possible to do it through the Box sync app, only online?
So the issue I am getting is that I don't seem to be able to access box in the normal way online. (its been a few years). It is trying to force me though some onboarding thing, and making me download Box Drive. I don't know what that is, and have no use for it. I already have the Box sync app running with years of important data on it. The last thing I want is some new app to interrupt that, or worse still lose any of that data. How do I get around the 'onboarding' thing and see my box files online?
