Box has expanded customer options for encrypted key storage and management with our KeySafe offering by enabling GCP as a storage option alongside Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Box KeySafe offers complete, independent control over your organization’s encryption keys, delivering detailed records of key usage and enabling admins to track exactly why and how their organization’s keys are being accessed, without impacting user experience. It also provides a kill-switch to encrypted content, enabling security teams to cut access at any time.
Previously, keys were stored exclusively within AWS, but to better enable our customers with specific business needs or preferences we have enabled GCP as an additional option for storage, selectable upon implementation.
