Get item information in GROUP_ADD_ITEM event

Is there any way to get any information about what item a group was added to in the GROUP_ADD_ITEM event? It seems to only report the group that was added and the user that added the group. On the flip side, I don't seem to get any GROUP_REMOVE_ITEM events (even when the group is removed from the admin console) and get COLLABORATION_REMOVE events, which include information on the item the group was removed from.
