Box aims to connect content across all our customer’s tech stack. We’re excited to announce a feature which highlights our commitment to providing seamless workflows which span multiple platforms and teams while securely servicing your critical use cases.
This update powers joint customers of Box, Salesforce, and Slack to connect Slack channels and Salesforce objects (such as opportunities, accounts, or cases) to the same mapped Box folder structures using a new invocable method for Salesforce Flow actions featured in our Salesforce Developer Toolkit.
The end result, is the ability to upload a file to a Slack channel, and have the same Box file, in the same Box folder, show up in Salesforce.
This is a major step in Box’s ability to bridge our customer’s workflow gaps, ensuring that their content is available across their entire tech stack, no matter where they work from. Whether you’re in the field uploading images to Slack, or in an office managing a Sales opportunity in Salesforce, Box creates a seamless and connected experience, keeping your content connected and available.
To use this feature, the most recent version of Box for Salesforce needs to be installed from the Salesforce AppExchange listing. Additionally, Box as the Custom Files Store for Slack is required to set up this feature. If interested, please reach out to your Box representative to connect with a Box for Salesforce SME.
