We've added a new Admin Console control to configure email upload settings instance wide, making it easier to consistently enforce email upload or download restrictions on Box folders across your organization.
With the new email upload configuration, administrators now have a top-level control to enable or disable email uploads for all users. Please note:
- For all new enterprises, email uploads will be disabled by default.
- If enabled, folder owners will still need to enable email uploads on a per folder basis. If your organization is currently using the email upload feature and an administrator disables the capability, it will immediately disallow email uploads for all folders. Users will be notified via email that their email upload has failed and that they should contact their administrator.
- There will be no impact to existing customer configurations, but customers who wish to disable the capability now have the ability to do so via our Admin Console.
