We have made enhancements to modifiable retention policies and now give Admins the ability to permanently delete content under retention, providing flexibility as external regulatory environments or internal governance policies change.
Modifiable retention exceptions will allow Admins to permanently delete content held under modifiable retention policies. Admins will be able to bypass modifiable retention policies by making an exception to allow the deletion of content. Admins will use the exception toggle and are required to provide a reason in the Exception justification box. This will be logged and displayed in the User Activity Report, along with the justification provided.
Please note that content held under non-modifiable retention policies and Legal Holds cannot be deleted.
