We recently introduced the ability to leverage Box Sign templates natively within Salesforce allowing teams to send standardized agreements, like NDAs, sales contracts, and onboarding forms, in just a few clicks without ever leaving Salesforce.
Previously, sending a Box Sign request from Salesforce required selecting individual files and manually configuring field, field properties, and more for each signature request. With this new release, Salesforce administrators can import pre-configured Box Sign templates directly into Salesforce records, unlocking a highly automated and seamless signing experience.
When initiating a Box Sign request from the Salesforce Sign Modal, users can now choose a new option: “Select from Box Sign Template.” This instantly loads the template’s pre-defined files, signing order, and settings. Additionally, Salesforce admins can map template prefill tags and placeholder signers directly to Salesforce object fields and contact lookups. When a user selects a template, Salesforce data automatically populates the document. If a Box Sign Template has locked settings, such as locked files, email subjects, or recipient lists, those inputs are automatically locked in the Salesforce modal to prevent unauthorized modifications.
By bringing reusable Box Sign templates into Box Sign for Salesforce, organizations can significantly reduce document preparation time, eliminate manual data entry errors, and ensure that sales and operations teams are always using the most up-to-date, legally approved templates.
Box Sign Templates for Salesforce is available to all customers using the Box for Salesforce integration with Box Sign enabled.
