    Hi Alexandra,

    Welcome to the Box Community!

At present, Box Drive is not supported on Apple devices running on the M1 chipset and this is currently a known limitation

Rest assured that our team is working diligently for a fix in a future Box Drive release to support M1-based Mac machines soon so please look forward to it.

In the meantime, you can access your Box content on Apple Silicon devices via the Box web application by logging into app.box.com/login.

Thanks for your participation in the Community!

    Best,

When does Box plan to make Box Drive compatible with M1-based Mac machines?

A better timeline on completion of the M1 version would be appreciated. I purchased a Mac with Apple silicon and Box is the ONLY thing not working. This will cost me hundreds of dollars because I need to keep my old Mac (not trade it in) to be compatible with a university's Box Drive.

    Hi All,

Just to give everyone a quick update here, we have released a Public Beta of Box Drive that is compatible with new Apple devices with M1 chips

Any Box user can access this without signing the Master Beta Agreement.

To find out more information, including the installation and download instructions, please visit our community page.

Again, thanks for all your patience, we really appreciate it.
