error code 409

Hi,

We had programatically uploaded files to an existing folder and it was working fine. However two weeks ago for the error code 409 we got getResponse() value as junk chars,

and program started falining with error " Expected value at 1:0".

Please suggest , as this is causing all the users in the organization to not able to access those files which are supposedly uploaded.
