App-user can't view boxnote files within the app

I use Box mainly as my digital notebook. I created an app (OAuth 2 & JWT) and an app-user so that my colleagues can view my private boxnote files even without a box.com account. However the app-user/my colleagues can view any file except for the boxnote files. I then found out that boxnote files can't be previewed which is I guess the reason the app-user can't view them in the app. 

 

So my question is:

Will there be a preview for boxnote files one day?

 

As for the reason why I can't just use shared links:

I want the boxnote files to stay private. As soon as I create a shared link the file becomes public and might get crawled by Google or any other search engine.

    Thanks for reaching out. I am a  Product Manager @Box Platform and I wanted to provide you with an update on your request. Support for read-only BoxNotes preview is certainly a request we've been hearing from our customers and we are working together with the Box Notes team to have it prioritized. Although we don't have timelines for availability currently, please watch our developer forum and someone from our team will reach out to you as soon as we have updates to share.
