From trademark issues to patent infringement, legal risk is a serious concern for every company. Legal Holds may be issued as a result of current or anticipated litigation, audit, or government investigation. Box Governance’s Legal Hold feature gives Admins the ability to identify, preserve, and collect content that is stored in Box and ensures that content relevant to litigation can be found based on a user and held indefinitely in Box.
We are enhancing our legal holds capabilities to streamline and simplify eDiscovery processes and will soon be releasing Legal hold export, allowing admins to export documents on legal hold for legal review. Legal hold export will provide the ability select customer filters to narrow scope and improve relevancy of exported content. Content will be able to be filtered by date, user, and file type, and the export will automatically batch and monitor large exports for more reliable downloads. Legal hold export will extends Box’s eDiscovery capabilities by allowing the identification and preservation of content subject to litigation, as well as the collection of that content.
