Box is planning to upgrade the Box desktop products (Box Drive, Box Tools and Box for Office), on Windows, to require Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 after May 2023. All versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11 supported by Box already include .NET Framework 4.8 or above. Please refer to the Box OS support guidelines here. Windows Server 2019 and below did not ship with this version of .NET Framework. If it is not already installed, you will need to first install .NET Framework v4.8 or higher before these products update. Installations for any of these products will fail, if .NET Framework 4.8 or higher is not available on the device.
