When logging into Box for EMM a user might see the message "the user is not authorized".
Here are some scenarios in which you would see this error:
The user is not part of the Enterprise that provisioned the application. One of the checks that's done at login is to make sure the Public ID matches with the correct Enterprise ID. If you are an admin - an easy way to check is through the Admin Console! If you log into your enterprise account the user should appear in your managed users list.
Solution: make sure the user is in the correct Box instance!
The enterprise has filled the key value pairs in the MDM provider console, but hasn't actually registered with Box to get a Box for EMM instance via Customer Success Manager or Implementation Consultant.
Solution: Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager if you have not set up Box for EMM before!
