- The user installed Box for EMM from the App store, rather than from the MDM provider. For context, the app MUST be provisioned by the MDM provider. See here for more information.
- Solution: Re-provision the Box for EMM application from the MDM provider.
- A user "transferred" one device to another. This is similar to how Time Machine works on Macs, where it's basically a transfer of content and apps, including Box for EMM, from one device to another. In this case, the check would fail between the MDM provider and that specific instance of the Box for EMM app. The MDM provider would expect that app installation to be associated with one device ID (which the MDM provider stores) and this would fail with the new device. If the user has not been able to log into this device before but was able to log into a different device in the past it could be because of a transfer.
