At Box, a key goal is to make collaboration seamless from the desktop. That's why we are enhancing support for linked files with the ability to choose where the Box Drive folder lives on your users' desktops. With this enhancement, you'll be able to choose a general location for Box Drive that's outside of the user space, so anyone who wants to access the file with the links can do so seamlessly. When you link files in Box Drive, the folder path a program (such as Excel or PowerPoint) stores will be consistent for all of your users. Plus, once the location has been set it automatically reflects anytime Box Drive restarts.
