Dear Box Customer,
We constantly work to improve your experience on Box, and sometimes that means removing functionality to make room for an even better product.
Please review the features below that we're retiring and/or no longer supporting on April 30, 2019.
MacOS 10.12:
After April 30th, 2019, Box will end support for Box Sync, Box Tools, Notes for Desktop and Box Drive on Mac OS X 10.12. Per our OS support policy, we will maintain support for Box on the two latest versions of Mac OS X. To continue to enjoy Box support, please be sure you're on a supported OS, either OS X 10.14 or OS X 10.13, after this EOL date. Following the EOL date, users will be able to access these applications on OS X 10.12, but will be entirely unsupported by Box, including all security patches.
Removal of In-App Notifications for Expiration:
With the launch of the new in-app Notification Center experience on the WebApp which will enter Public Beta in Spring 2019 and General Availability in late Spring 2019 the in-app notifications experience will no longer display entries for shared link, collaborator, and item expiration.
This change affects only customers who have enabled Auto-Expiration in the Admin Console for shared links, collaborators, or items.
When you enable "notify affected users" for Auto-Expiration in the Admin Console, users will continue receiving the same email notifications as sent today, but will no longer receive entries through the in-app notifications experience.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or Box User Services.
Best,
The Box Team
