Box will end support for KeySafe with CloudHSM in February, 2020 to mirror the end of life of CloudHSM from Amazon Web Services (see AWS FAQs). Box is proactively reaching out to KeySafe CloudHSM customers to provide information about the impending changes to KeySafe CloudHSM and offer a comparable alternative, KeySafe with AWS KMS Custom Key Store.

Alternatively, KeySafe customers can choose KeySafe with AWS Key Management Service, which enables you to control your encryption keys via a multi-tenant service using FIPS 140-2 Level 2 HSMs managed by AWS.
