We’ve re‑imagined Box Drive to give you an updated and enhanced version of Box Drive on Windows. This release brings a suite of powerful new features and capabilities designed to make your work easier and faster than ever, including availability for Windows ARM devices, support for requested features, such as known folder redirection, and a bunch of usability and stability improvements.
Under the hood, a brand‑new architecture delivers greater stability, improved reliability, and deep integration with your operating system. - Windows ARM support: Now compatible with ARM-based Windows devices
- Known folder redirection: Administrators can use tools such as Group Policy Objects (GPO) to automatically sync local folders like Documents directly to Box Drive
- Flexible storage management: Administrators can change Box folder location to non-system drives
- Enhanced file control: Users can mark specific files for offline access and better manage downloaded content
- Improved user experience: File explorer now displays progress for key actions
- Better visual integration: Improved iconography ensures consistent display of Box Drive icons
- Performance boost: Faster read/write speeds for cached files
- Broader compatibility: Full Box Drive application compatibility with Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps in the Windows ecosystem
