We will be releasing a new version of Box Drive (v2.51), on Windows and Mac, that includes feature enhancements and bug fixes.
Hide Multiple Files and Folders on Box Drive
Improvements were introduced to Hiding files and folders on Box Drive. You can now select multiple items in your Windows File Explorer or macOS Finder window and hide them all at once. Like before, when you hide a file or folder, it disappears from your local Box folder tree, making it easier to find active work, but it remains in your Box account—securely stored in the cloud, available in Box.com and still searchable in Box Drive.
External Drive Support on MacOS
A new feature, External Drive Support, will allow users on Mac to move their Box Drive directory on an external drive. This will allow you to work on large files or large volumes of files and folders without being limited by your machine’s local disk space. You can configure where you would like your Box Drive directory to sit in the Preferences menu of Box Drive.
To enable External Drive, follow the instructions here: Using External Drives with Box Drive on MacOS.
