Box is upgrading its infrastructure to enable HTTP/2 for both Box Web Application and Box APIs. This new protocol will be supported in addition to HTTP/1.1 that we support today.
HTTP/2 improves the user experience on Box making folder navigation, document previews or Box Notes load faster by reducing overall latency. No changes are required and most modern browsers support HTTP/2 natively (you can check compatibility here).
To test the HTTP/2 Box with your browser or your application before the roll-out, we deployed a test endpoint with HTTP/2 enabled: api-test.box.com
