We’ve recently updated how collaboration invite emails are handled for free and trial accounts that have not provided payment information.
What’s changing
Free users and trial accounts that have not provided payment information may now encounter limits on the number of collaboration invite emails that can be sent within a given period. If you reach this limit, additional invite emails will not be delivered until the limit resets.
Note: This change affects email notifications only. Your ability to collaborate on content, access content, and manage permissions in Box is unchanged; however, some collaboration invite emails will not be sent if limits are exceeded.
What this means for you
- Most users won’t notice any change to normal collaboration workflows.
- If you’re sending a high volume of invites in a short time, some email notifications may may not be delivered due to these limits.
- Upgrading your account or adding payment information will remove these limits.
