We're excited to announce a new export option for Box Shuttle: CSV report generation.
This new option writes job results to CSV files, as an alternative to Excel reports. For very large jobs, CSV may be preferable to spreadsheets, which can be slow to build, resource-intensive, and limited to one million rows per sheet.
Users can select this new migration option directly in the Shuttle Export page. Each report is generated as a single folder. Each section of the report — transfers, users, collaborators, collaborations, event log, and more — is delivered as its own CSV file, making it easy to process programmatically or share across teams.
CSV report generation, as with Excel, writes directly to your Box account. Viewing the CSV files is as simple as opening them in Box Preview in the Box WebApp — no downloads, no extra applications needed. Review them right in the browser with the same clarity and readability as an Excel document, with no formatting lost and no extra steps required.
