Box Zones can help support your organization’s data residency needs by allowing you to store your content in the geographic region of your choice. Box is focused on expanding our Zones product offering to help our customers accelerate digital while raising the bar for privacy, trust, and control in the Content Cloud. As our customer base and usage continues to grow, we are further investing in our infrastructure to continue helping customers accelerate their digital transformation, and will soon support metadata in-region for our Australia Zone.
Box Admins who control their users’ access to Box via a firewall must add the new endpoints to their existing Box network configuration if they would like to store their metadata in-region.
As a reminder, Box Admins should routinely check our Firewall Configuration Guide to ensure they have the most up to date endpoints added to their Box network configuration. Customers utilizing strict firewall allowlists that do not routinely check their firewall settings may experience connection failures.
