Anchor links let a link point to one specific page inside a Box Hub rather than to the Hub as a whole. As you move between pages, the Hub's URL includes an anchor for the page you are viewing, so copying that URL from your browser produces a link that opens that exact page instead of dropping the recipient on the Hub's home page to find it themselves.
Anchor links cover every page in a Hub, including nested pages: opening one selects the target page and expands its parent pages in the sidebar, so the recipient can see where the page sits in the Hub.
- Open the Hub and select the page you want to share.
- Copy the URL from your browser's address bar - it carries the page anchor.
- Share it as you would any Box link. Anyone with access to the Hub lands directly on that page.
Because the anchor is tied to the page itself rather than to its name or position, renaming a page or moving it under a different parent leaves links you have already shared intact.
Anchor links apply to the Box web app and require no admin configuration. A copy-link button on page and section names, and anchors to individual sections within a page, will follow.
