Box Drive Won't Log In Properly on Macbook

When I start up the computer the usual window to log into Box Drive pops up.  When I log in as I always would, it treats that window like a web browser rather than actually logging into box drive.  So I can see all the media in that one window which remains plastered on top of any other window I have open, but it doesn't actually allow me to access my files in finder which is what I need it to do. 

I think it has something to do with switching from Kernals to FPE but I'm not certain of that.

I've already uninstalled and reinstalled and contacted my own help/IT support team and nobody has any answers but I won't be able to do my job unless this gets fixed. 

Please help!

    By the way I'm using Monterrey 12.0.1 as the operating system and have Box Drive 2.24.208 as the version of Box I'm running.
