Box’s integration with Adobe Acrobat web enables you to
- open PDF documents with Adobe Acrobat for Box, and
- access Adobe to convert non-PDF file types into PDF files.
Using Box's integration, you can convert the following file types to PDF: BMP, DOC, DOCX, GIF, JPEG, PNG, PPT, PPTX, TIFF, XLS, and XLSX.
Unless your enterprise's admin explicitly disables it for your enterprise, this integration is available for you to install and use.
To open a PDF file with Adobe Acrobat for Box:
- In your Box account's window, click the file's name. Box displays the file in the preview window.
- In the upper-right corner of the preview window, click Open and select Adobe Acrobat web.
- Alternatively, in the file picker view in the Box webapp, right click the PDF file, and then
- Hover over Open With and select Adobe Acrobat web.
- To grant Adobe Acrobat access to your Box account, in the Adobe Acrobat Web window click Okay. Adobe Acrobat displays the file.
- Sign in using your Adobe log in.
- To save your finished work back to Box, in the Adobe Acrobat web app click Save.
Note:
To set Adobe Acrobat as your default selection for Open With, contact your enterprise's admin.
To open a non-PDF file with Adobe Acrobat for Box:
- In your Box account's window, click the file's name. Box displays the file in the preview window.
- In the right-hand side of the window, in the recommended apps strip click Adobe Acrobat web.
- Adobe Acrobat web launches and enables you to convert the non-PDF file into a PDF file.
