Content Manager enables admins to find, view, access, and perform certain actions on content owned by your organization's managed users. Content Manager is available in the Admin Console with Business Plus or higher plans.
In Content Manager, you can:
- View managed users and service accounts in the organization.
- Browse a user's active content.
- Preview a user’s active and trashed content.

Search for files and folders, including filtered search and searching by file ID or shared link.
- Download single or multiple files and folders.

Manage a user's files, including restoring, trashing, downloading, sharing and managing collaborators.

Manage files in a user's Trash, including downloading, and restoring files and folders.

Create or remove shared links and change shared link settings
- Archive files and folders, view and search Archives, and restore Archived content. The Box Archive feature is available only to Enterprise Advanced accounts.
Notes
- Download and Restore are not available for all files in a user's Trash. If either function is not available for a file, that icon will not appear when you hover on the file.
- If you try to restore a file to a location that no longer exists, such as when the original folder has been deleted, you will be asked to select a restoration folder location.
- For security purposes, if a managed user is collaborating on content owned by an external user, an admin cannot use Instant Login or Content Manager to access this content.
