We released the ability to leverage AI-powered search in Box Apps, enabling users to find content more efficiently across an entire app from any page using natural-language queries. With AI-powered search in Box Apps, users can automatically select the most relevant view, apply metadata and text filters, and surface relevant content in a dedicated view all while displaying the original query and the editable filters that are automatically applied based on the query.
Before the release of AI-powered search in Box Apps, searching for content was limited to individual views and required users to manually navigate across multiple views and filters to locate specific content. With this new capability, users can simply enter a query in any app and the Box AI agent will automatically select specific filters to quickly surface the relevant content across the app’s pre-templated domain without manually hopping between different views and modifying filter settings to find the right content, saving time and reducing friction for content discovery. Users can query for specific content anywhere within the app, presenting the user with the best view and filters in order to surface the correct content based on the query. Users can also toggle additional filters manually to modify or refine the results.
Additionally, users can save AI-powered search results as views within an app, enabling them to instantly access specific content without re-entering the original query.
