On July 24, 2025, Box will disallow FTPS connections that use weak CBC-mode ciphers for SSL. This change is to ensure the continued security and integrity of Box and our customers’ use of Box. The affected ciphers are:

We encourage all customers using weak ciphers to upgrade their FTPS clients to use stronger SSL encryption ciphers.
