Box is introducing a Restore Deleted Users capability in the Admin Console, giving admins a safety net against accidental deletions. Admins and co-admins with the Manage Users permission can now restore deleted managed users from a new Deleted Users tab under Users & Groups, within a 30-day window of deletion.
This action will fully restore both the user account and their content for users deleted within the last 14 days (except for content transferred to another user). For accounts deleted 15-30 days prior, the action will only restore the account, but deleted user content can be still recovered from Trash. Admins are able to view which accounts are recoverable and whether content is recoverable via the Content Availability status indicator, and admins can elect to have an email notification of account restoration sent to the restored user. Only managed users are restorable through this feature.
