Box will begin transitioning email service providers from our current vendors AWS Simple Email Service (SES) and Oracle Dyn, to Twilio SendGrid for Enterprise customers*.
Today, Box uses Oracle Dyn and AWS SES to deliver product notification emails, which include invitations to collaborate on shared files and folders or messages assigning Workflow tasks.
Starting in October 2021, Box will being switching to Twilio SendGrid to deliver email notification on behalf Box. We expect the migrations to complete by the end of the year for all customers.
Following this update, most customers are not expected to be impacted**. To verify success before the cutover, Admins and Co-Admins can test email notifications sent via SendGrid through the Email Test feature of the Admin Console. This feature is available today, so please leverage it to verify that Box emails sent via SendGrid work for your enterprise.
