Before you start
You'll need:
- A valid email address (must not be associated with an existing Box account)
- A valid payment method
- Your billing address — note that we use Google Maps to autocomplete and validate addresses, so the address you enter must match a real, deliverable location (PO Boxes not accepted)
- The number of seats you want to purchase
- Please note the minimum number of seats for Business and above is 3 seats
Step 1: Select your plan
Choose the plan that fits your needs. If you're unsure which plan to pick, the feature comparison on the pricing page outlines what's included in each plan. You can switch plans later in the flow without losing your progress.*
Step 2: Enter account details
Enter your full name, business email, and create a password. This email becomes the admin account for your Box account.
Step 3: Choose seat count
Select ‘Edit Plan’ to change the number of seats. The price updates in real time as you adjust the count.
Step 4: Changing & Comparing Plans
If you need to change your plan selection, you can choose a different one under in the plan drop down. You can also click on ‘Compare Plans’ to view other Box offerings and compare features across plans. Making a selection in the plan dropdown or compare plans modal will automatically update your plan selection and plan summary.*
Step 5: Enter payment details
Enter your credit card information. Please find accepted payment methods here. Your card will be charged once you complete the purchase.
Step 6: Enter billing address
Begin typing your address - suggestions will appear from Google Maps. Select your address from the dropdown to auto-fill the remaining fields.
Note for international customers: Address formatting varies by country. If your address doesn't appear in suggestions, you can enter it manually using the "Enter address manually" dropdown option from Google Maps API.
Step 7: Review and confirm
Review your plan, seat count, billing address, and total. Click Complete Purchase to finalize. You will receive a confirmation email to log into your new Box account.*
