Problem Overview
When trying to authorize an application under Admin Console > Apps > Custom Apps > Authorize New App , you receive the following error:
"Something went wrong with adding the app authorization"
Root Cause 1
This error can occur if you're attempting to authorize a Standard OAuth 2 application via
Admin Console > Apps > Custom Apps > Authorize New App
This section of the Admin Console is reserved for authorizing applications that leverage JWT authentication.
Unless your Box enterprise disables unpublished applications by default, you are all set to begin using the application without further action.
Root Cause 2
You are a co-admin and are granted access to "View settings and apps for your company", but not "Edit settings and apps for your company".
You will need to contact your primary admin to grant you this privilege or have another user already with this privilege execute the task.
