Whether people can view the Box content card when a file is shared (as opposed to a generic file type icon), and whether they can view a thumbnail preview of a file, is based upon two settings you configure in your Admin Console:
- Requiring a permissions check -- that is, whether Team or Channel members can access the Box content that's being shared
- Authorizing content unfurl -- that is, whether Team or Channel members can view a preview image of the file to which the link goes.
To clarify system behavior, and to help you answer any corresponding questions you may get from people in your company, the four tables below explain how each of the four different configurations manifest:

- Perform Permission Check: Disabled
- Show Content Thumbnail: Disabled
