Box Sign allows you to rename, replace, delete, and print files in a multi-doc signature request.
Renaming a file
To rename a file:
- Click on the three dots in the header of your file.
- Select option Rename.
- Type in the new name and click Save.
This action renames the final file that signer and sender receive. The filename is displayed in the header of each file and when you hover over the thumbnails of the file on the left panel.
Replacing a file
To replace a file:
- Click on the three dots in the header of your file.
- Select option Replace.
- Select your replacement document and click Continue.
- Toggle Keep Existing Fields on if necessary.
- Click Confirm and Replace to save your changes.
Note
You can't replace documents with a local file. To use the file, upload it to Box first.
When you replace a file and toggle Keep Existing Fields on, check if your fields are in a right place. Replacing a file versions it in Box. The sender will have a copy of all changes, but they won’t be visible for the signer. For more information on versions in Box, see Accessing Version History.
Deleting a file
To delete a file:
- Click on the three dots in the header of your file.
- Select option Delete.
View Details: Printing
The View Details screen shows the list of all files and recipients of a multi-doc signature request. You can also print each file from this view.
To print files:
- Hover over the title of your request.
- Click the ellipsis button (“...”).
- Select the View Details option.
- Select the file you want to print from the Documents & attachments section.
- Click the ellipsis button and select option Print.
