In our continuous efforts to provide the best service and security, we are releasing a new version of Box Sync on 08/12/2024. However, this new version will no longer support older versions of the Mac Operating System (MacOS). To ensure uninterrupted access and functionality, please upgrade to Mac OS to version 10.13 or higher to continue using Box Sync.
MacOS 10.12 (Sierra) and earlier versions have not been supported by Apple since September 2019 and are vulnerable to new malware and exploits that won't be patched and could expose a user’s content to security risks.
For end users that do not upgrade their OS, their existing files will remain on their computer, however, changes made to these files will not be synced between the cloud and their computer until the OS is upgraded. End users who are unable to upgrade their operating system at this time can still visit box.com using any supported web browser to securely access and manage their files.
