Issue
When attempting to log into a Box account, the following error message appears and the login attempt fails: “Invalid captcha response. Please try again.”
Root Cause
This issue generally occurs for one of the following reasons:
- The “I am human” checkbox (CAPTCHA verification) on the login page has not been selected.
- Communication required for CAPTCHA verification is being blocked, causing the CAPTCHA widget to fail to load or to respond incorrectly.
Resolution
Check whether the CAPTCHA checkbox appears on the login screen.
If the checkbox is displayed, select it and retry the login process.
If the checkbox does not appear, confirm that the network, firewall, or proxy settings allow communication required for CAPTCHA verification.
