Root Cause
When you open a file through Box Edit, it creates a temporary version of that file on your local hard drive. When you save the file and close it, the temporary version is supposed to be deleted. However, sometimes this step does not occur and the temporary files get "stuck" trying to save to Box. After ensuring that the version on Box is the most recent version of that file, deleting the temporary file from your computer stops the attempt to save and resolves the issue.
