Box files opened with Microsoft 365 will not save on Android

If I open the Box app on Android, then open an Excel document using office, I view and make changes. It says it is auto saving, (but it is not). I have to tried to select "save" to force it. but when I close and reopen the file either on my phone or box online, it did not save any of the changes. How can I make it save?

If I open Office or Excell on my phone, there is no option to connect a Box storage location (just OneDrive and DropBox), So I cannot try opening the file there. How can I get it to show up and connect it so I can open files from there?

Office on my phone is licensed using a work account, and I am an 'editor' on the Box files.
