Our partnership with Microsoft has always centered around making your secure content easier to work with, we’re excited to continue this trend by bringing Admin delegated authorization to Admins using Box for Teams. Currently, using this integration empowers your teams to view, share, collaborate, and manage Box files, both internally and externally, all within Microsoft Teams. However, Box for Teams users have to authorize their Box account every time they logged in.   With this new release, admins can navigate to the Admin Console and authorize all the users in their organization. Removing this step for their users and making deployment and adoption faster and easier. This requires Admin activation from the Box Admin Console and Admins will also be required to accept additional permissions the next time they use the Box for Teams app.

Box and Adobe have forged a strong partnership over the past decade, enhancing productivity for businesses by integrating Box within Adobe’s document and creative tools within the Box platform. Now, the power of Adobe Express has come to Box! Today, Box users must download image files and use external tools for editing, which disrupts workflows, increases content sprawl, and introduces risk. To solve this, Box has partnered with Adobe to bring Adobe Express to Box, giving users the ability to make essential edits to images, such as: Cropping images Removing backgrounds Adding effects And even generating and removing visual objects from text using Adobe Firefly AI All changes will automatically and securely save content back to Box, all without the need to purchase separate Adobe licenses.     This feature is free, and will be enabled by default for all users. This can be disabled by Admins if desired. Use of this feature does not require the purchase of Adobe Express licenses. Use of generative AI features requires an Adobe Express account.

When working with documents stored in Box, you can ask Box AI to summarize document content, search key points, and write outline drafts which can save you time in analyzing your meeting notes, reports, and marketing assets, while giving you better insights on any content stored in Box. We’re now excited to bring this Box AI feature to Slack. Box and Slack joint customers can use Box for Slack to bring their content and conversations together in a secure and seamless way. We’re continuing to build on this popular app by introducing Box AI for Slack. Customers can query Box AI on either individual files or multiple files bookmarked in a Slack Channel by: Clicking the Ask Box AI button that shows up under a Box file linked in Slack Posting a message starting from “@Box…” to summon the Box AI bot Using the Ask Box AI shortcut on an existing Slack message with linked Box files Users can then choose to refine their query further before choosing whether or not to share the results with the channel or thread. Unlimited queries using Box AI for Slack are included in Enterprise Plus plans today. Eligible customers can turn on Box AI for their organization by accessing their Box Admin Console and can enable or disable Box AI for Slack via the Admin Console.
