How do I clear out old files COMPLETELY so they don't add to the storage amount?

I upgraded my storage amount recently, then deleted at lot of the old files on my account, but the amount of storage I'm using didn't decrease. It doesn't readjust itself when I delete files. It only goes higher when I add new files. Now it's telling me I need to upgrade again, when there's no way I'm actively using the amount it's suggesting. Any advice would be appreciated.

  Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!

  I've ran the script that will recount all of the files and how much storage is being used in your account, so you should now see the correct storage size available in your Box.
