A Legal Hold report will export a list of all the files currently being held by an active legal hold. Legal Holds reports are not run from the Reports section of the Admin Console, but from the Legal Holds tab in Governance. Click View in Reports next to Legal Holds to navigate there directly from Reports. Hover over the legal hold that you would like to run a report on, then click Report to run the report.
Note
Legal hold policy reports contain data up to 48 hours prior to the report being generated.

- Filename and folder name time zone: the local date and time of the admin who ran the report or who set up the report schedule.
Legal Holds Report Data Columns
This section describes the data columns that are generated in Legal Holds reports.
- Assignment Type

Explains what type of assignment placed a file version on hold. Values can be:
- user
- folder
- file
- file version
- Assignment ID
- A number the uniquely identifies the legal hold assignment.
- Parent Folder Path
- The path from the root of your Box instance to the folder containing the file.
- Parent Folder Path ID
- A number that uniquely identifies the path from the root of your Box instance to the folder containing the file.
- File Name
- The name given to the file.
- File ID
- A number that uniquely identifies the file version put on hold.
- File Version ID
- A number that uniquely identifies the newest version of the file.
- Created
- The date, in UTC, that the file was created.
- Uploaded
- The date, in UTC, that the latest version of the file was uploaded.
- Size (bytes)
- The size of the file in bytes.
- Owner ID
- The value in the Name field in User Account Details of the owner of the file.
- Reason For Hold

Explanation why a file version was put on hold. Values can be:
- Owner
- Collaborator
- Folder
- File
- File Version
- Trashed

Indicates if the file is in Trash when the report is run. Values can be:
- Yes
- No
