Unable to add an email to account

I'm trying to add an email address to my account, but I get the following error message every time:
"There was an error while trying to add xx@xxxxxx.com to your account."
This is a company account. Could that be the problem?
How do I fix this?

You can use the following troubleshooting steps to fix your issue,
- Updating your browser to the latest version
- Clearing your browser's cache
- Using Box with an alternate browser, computer, or network.
- Temporarily disabling any plugins/extensions in your browser
- Removing unwanted extensions, plug-ins, ads, pop-ups & malware:
Otherwise, you might want to check if the email address is already in use on Box. As you can only use your email once at a time. Your email can only be used once at a time.
