Getting a user's id
AnsweredAs an admin, is there a way through the Box user interface to learn the user-id of an existing user?
Or as an individual user, how can I find my user-id?
Why: I'm building an app that will upload files to Box on behalf of users. How do I find the users' ids?
I realize there are programmatic ways via the API, but I'd rather just enter the user-id into my app's configuration record.
Thank you.

Hi Larry,
Thanks for reaching out. Great question! If you're using a developer account, you should have access to this:
When you select a user to access, note the ID that is appended in the URL. That's the User ID. If you click on a folder, another ID - folder ID - is appended. Then if you click on a file within that folder (see where we're going?), you'll get another ID appended, which is the file ID.
Fun little tip, hope that helps!
Thanks,
Jason

Lorenz Kley Thank you. But when I click my profile pic, there are 3 items: "My activities", "My profile" and "Sign out". There is no "Account Settings" or "Account Details". In "My profile" I could not find my user id. Is the UI changed? Where should I look at to find my user id?
Thanks.
