Box has a legal obligation to collect sales tax for customers based upon their local, state, and country jurisdiction and the product type being purchased. Tax will be calculated based on the aforementioned criteria which is the Sold To address you have provided to Box upon creation of the account. If you have a contract in place, it will not reflect any taxes, as those are calculated at the time your invoice is generated.

If you are exempt from sales/use tax, please let us know your appropriate exempt-sales certification by submitting a case to our Billing Team.
