Box has a legal obligation to collect VAT from UK customers (business and consumer). For UK customers, applicable VAT will be applied on a separate line item on invoices. Box will use the service address for each account to determine applicable VAT.

Which services are subject to tax and what will be the effective rate?
Each of our products have been reviewed independently and tax due is dependent on a number of different factors, including product type purchased, service address, applicable tax jurisdiction, and local tax laws.
What if my business is located outside of the UK?
EU business customers must account for VAT themselves under the reverse charge mechanism therefore no VAT charge will be applied to the invoice. This does not imply that your purchase is exempt from VAT. Please consult your local tax authorities for further information.
