Issue
When attempting to launch the Box Drive app, the following error appears: “Box Drive cannot use the specified location. Make sure you have write access to the folder.” As a result, the app fails to start.
Root Cause
This error occurs when the default Box Drive folder location has been customized by an administrator and the user does not have access to the customized folder.
Resolution
If the default Box Drive folder location has been customized, system settings must be configured appropriately for the customized folder.
