While Pending Collaborators, or users that have not yet accepted a collaboration invitation, appear in the list of Collaborators for a folder, you may notice that they will be removed after a certain amount of time.
Root Cause
- Collaboration Invitations expire after 30 days if they are not accepted.
- External collaborators must use multifactor authentication (MFA) to access content.
Resolution Steps
To resolve this issue:
- Re-invite the user to the folder and instruct them to log on to Box and accept the invitation.
- Advise external collaborators to enable MFA on their account, then try viewing the content again.
